My art page is under construction.

I moved to Salt Lake City, Utah from Buffalo, NY in 2000. I like Top Fuel drag racing so I couldn't wait to hit the Bonneville Salt flats just 90 minutes away. I have ten SLR cameras so I always bring a few out to the salt for some shots. I prefer black and white shots on the salt for that vintage look. The two photos below were taken at the 9.2004 event.

My latest project is this loud 1980s street legal sprint car below. Well, it was legal in two former states and I hope to make that 3 soon. The dirt tires were pulled and replaced with Goodyear Eagles on the front and huge 19 inch wide DOT Mickey Thompson Sportsmans on the rear. It has a 305 Chevy small block (4 barrel carb) with a 350 turbo transmission. It has a horn, brake lights, turn signals, RV mirror, headlights (high beam/low beam) and a few other street items already installed.

I built a custom shifter set up from scratch for it since the old shifter was poorly engineered. I'm fabricating a custom fiberglass windshield frame for it now. So far it has been a lot of work since everything has to be custom made. I may fabricate a fiberglass wing for it next year. If you look close, you can see the turn signals on the front near the shock. The license plate frame is above and behind the seat. It is 6 feet, 3 inches wide with an 87 inch wheel base. It drives like a bus, handles like a shopping cart and it is crazy! In fact, I may change the name of the car to "A little crazy" in the future. If things go well, I may be able to take it to the Bonneville salt flats this year.

I finally got a street bike in 2004. Its a 1995 XV 750 V-Twin Yamaha Virago. It came with the leather saddle bags, leather gas tank cover and a few other goodies.

Another shot of my bike.

I shoot some of the sunsets in my back yard when I can. I didnt use any filters on this 35mm shot below. This photo is the result of a malfunctioning Minolta Maxxum. This isn't the shot I was after but it came out cool. The camera on the other hand is an expensive paper weight now.

Just a weekend project below. I bought an airbrush last year and wanted to try out a flame job. Not bad for my third time out. It still needs a clear coat to bring out the colors. A disaster started to happen when I laid the first coat. The sun heated the masking tape and it started to peel off while I was laying down the white base. I had to hurry the color coats before my day was ruined. I think I could have done better if I had the time. I was also in a hurry to lay the flames out and didn't get the classic crab claw flames I originally wanted.

I was asked to paint a motocycle for one of my coworkers recently. So as a practical joke, I replicated one of his vintage 1972 battery covers in fiberglass. He just wanted his cover painted a pearl charcoal color. The result of this joke was this airbrushed plane nose art project. The lettering saying "The Bomb" was airbrushed along with the circle, metal plating, clouds and bomb. I then laid in a magazine cut out of Jessica Simpson and clear coated it. There is also 38 pin heads for rivits in it. It was a long way for a joke but the it was worth it.
